The XCEL Program is an alternative USA Gymnastics competitive program offering individual flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. The goal of Xcel is to provide gymnasts of varying abilities and commitment levels with the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience.

 

XCEL is broken down into six different levels consisting of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire. USAG is also known as the United States Gymnastics Organization .

XCEL focuses on preparing athletes for competition while teaching them perseverance and determination throughout the differing levels. XCEL levels take longer to complete. Athletes can expect to be competing in these levels for sometimes up to 2-3 years. This gives athletes an opportunity to succeed and excel in their skills, so they feel confident when moving to higher levels with more difficult skills.
